PIVET Labs is a nonprofit initiative focused on bringing accessible AI education, hands-on training, and innovation resources to local communities, starting in Greensboro, NC.
What does “PIVET” stand for?
PIVET stands for Practical Initiatives and Ventures within Emerging Technologies — reflecting our mission to make advanced technology accessible and impactful at the local level.
Who can participate in PIVET Labs programs?
Our programs are open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds — from elementary students to small business owners, career changers, and entrepreneurs.
What types of programs do you offer?
We offer youth workshops, AI and coding clubs, workforce development bootcamps, entrepreneurship support, small business AI training, and community engagement events like hackathons and speaker series.
Are your programs free?
Many of our introductory workshops and events are free. Some advanced programs may have a small fee, but we strive to keep everything affordable and offer scholarships when possible.
Do I need any tech experience to join?
No! We offer beginner-friendly programs and provide the support you need to learn new skills from the ground up.
How can I volunteer?

Where are you located?
We’re currently operating out of shared community spaces in Greensboro, NC. We plan to launch a dedicated PIVET Labs Community Center soon!
